FAQs

How many artists do you represent?
All our artists are members of The Art Family who own the copyright of the images. We do not offer reproductions of work by other artists.

Will the colours fade?
We offer archival quality digital fine art prints produced on specialist printers using pigment based inks on fine art ink-jet paper to achieve a high degree of light fastness and stability

Will the colours in a print match the colours I see on my screen?
The colours in a print may vary from the colours viewed on a screen because of technical variations between different makes of screens and how they are calibrated. The prints will match as closely as possible the colours in the original artwork.

What papers do you print on?
HAHNEMUHLE PHOTO LUSTRE 260gsm is a semi-gloss photographic paper producing a long lasting fade resistant print.
SOMERSET VELVET ENHANCED 255gsm looks and feels like Watercolour Paper and has a radiant white surface.
SOMERSET PHOTO 300gsm was developed to give excellent colour rendition on a smooth matt surface with subtle hints of surface texture.

Why do you quote sizes in metric and inches? What is A4?
The International Standard paper sizes (A5, A4, A3, A2 A1) are used throughout the world, except the USA and Canada. We give the approximate dimensions in inches and centimetres for clarity.

Why do you only offer a limited range of print sizes?
We want to make browsing the website as enjoyable as possible so we have simplified it as much as possible.
These are the sizes familiar to European artists and printers.

Can I have my print without a border?
Yes, if requested , but a border is recommended if the print is to be matted and framed. Greetings cards are usually printed without a border.

What size will the image be if it has a border?
Image sizes in a print will vary depending on the shape of the original image.

Can my prints be framed?
We recommend that you have your print framed near where you live because of high delivery costs.

Will my final print have the AFP logo on the bottom?
No, it will not. This logo is placed for online image protection.
